Chris Hedges has written an articles on the three ex-terrorists called "Christian Right's Emerging Deadly Worldview: Kill Muslims to Purify the Earth." He says "Walid Shoebat, Kamal Saleem and Zachariah Anani are the three stooges of the Christian right.
"Calling them "Curly, Larry and Mo, who all say they are born-again Christians, engage in hate speech and assure us it comes from personal experience. They tell their audiences that the only way to deal with one-fifth of the world's population is by converting or eradicating all Muslims."
"These men are frauds" says Hedges, also stating inconclusively that "They are part of a dark and frightening war by the Christian right against tolerance that, in the moment of another catastrophic terrorist attack on American soil, would make it acceptable to target and persecute all Muslims, including the some 6 million Muslims who live in the United States."
The smear campaign with absolute false unsubstantiated statements and libelous accusations by the New York Times and Chris Hedges which currently circulates blogs included such false statements that we call for “eradicating all Muslims,” that we are “frauds” without a single statement of any evidence for any of such claims. These picked additional false information from OpEdNews.com in an article that announced “Walid’s entire biography is a manufactured fabrication” with testimonies obtained from Walid’s own family. In fact when OpEdNews.com were confronted with overwhelming facts felt compelled to post a rebuttal to all Walid’s accusers. This detailed rebuttal to such false claims can be read at:
http://www.opednews.com/articles/opedne_walid_sh_080206_i_was_a_terrorist_3b_i.htm
But I will present a summary.
FACTS:
1—Walid’s story is beyond any doubt proven true. The one who testified against Walid Shoebat (Kamal Younis) was later found to be a brother of Jawad Younis, a prominent terrorist who was thrown out of Israel to Jordan, and later became an attorney for Al-Qaeda operatives. He defended Abu Zubaydah a key aide to Osama bin Laden himself. If these testified against Shoebat by admitting they were his family, does that not prove that Walid was indeed a terrorist?
2—Walid’s Muslim family’s own testimony provides many clues to prove that Walid was telling the truth. His terrorist family testified that: “Walid was born in September of 1960 in Beit Sahour after his American mother and father returned there from America. His older sister and brother were born in the USA” all the denials of Walid’s origin are now proven bogus.
3—Daniel Pipes of Middle East Forum who reads fluent Arabic and Hebrew examined Walid’s birth certificate alongside several documents. This can be found on: http://www.danielpipes.org/…ents/27999
Pipes examined many documents to prove not only Walid’s connection with the land of Israel, but his American family’s connection with Winston Churchill.
4—Walid’s arrest and imprisonment is now verified by his own terror supporting family as written in the OpEdNews.com article by Eileen Fleming, and for years he had to endure accusations that no one can verify if he was ever in prison “In 1977 Walid was caught distributing Palestinian flags and was arrested and held for about two weeks in Mascubia [Russian Compound] Prison, until his mother went to the Embassy and got him released…
5—Even the Bank operation is verified “In 1977 Walid and his friends put packages behind a bank, but there were no explosives in it.”
Does it make any sense that Walid’s family since 1977 remembers such and uneventful event of placing empty boxes on the roof of a bank?
Walid’s story is so well confirmed not by documentation alone, but by his own terror supporting family.

You, Walid and Keith have all IGNORED the point of my Oped News article which is he has only traded one brand of fundamentalism for another and:
Walid's brand of Christianity has nothing to do with the teachings of Jesus who promised it is the peacemakers who are the children of God and not those that bomb, torture, starve or occupy others.
Walid's brand of Christianity defies that "God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. There is no fear in love. Perfect love drives out all fear because fear has to do with punishment." 1 John 4:16, 18
Walid's brand of Christianity as professed by anti-Christ's [against the teachings of Christ] such as John Hagee and Tim La Haye's Left Behind nonsense is the epitome of the spirit of the anti-Christ: fear of the other that drives one to violence.
Walid's brand of Christianity thrives on fear and Jesus said: "FEAR NOT! You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free."
Walid's brand of Christianity leaves behind all the non-negotiables for those who claim to be a Christian; which is you must forgive, bless and love your enemies.
The problem is not with Christianity but that too few have done it the way Jesus taught and modeled: to always work for PEACEFUL resolutions, even to the point of returning violence with compassion and forgiveness, as Jesus did when nailed to a cross and he prayed: "Father forgive them, they do not know what they are doing."
St. Paul who never hesitated expressing his freedom of speech warned, "Do not judge the non-believer, it is none of your business. But, when it comes to the believer, provoke one another to good works."
God knows the motivations of Walid's heart, but as Rev. Awad warned, “Christians are called by God to prayerfully use the gift of discernment.”
Discernment and good intelligence is what our troops need, and that is not what they are receiving on February 6, 2008 at the USA Air Force Academy, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in the heart of the western Bible Belt.

God is also a God of justice. Did Jesus not say at one point to Simon Peter, "Get thee behind Me, Satan," when Peter strayed from His Master's teachings.
To focus exclusively on the attribute of love ignores His other attributes. Furthermore, Jesus was not a namby-pamby. He drove the money changers from the temple with a whip.
When citing the epistles of the New Testament, it is essential to keep in mind that most of those epistles were written to new Christians. Some of the content of the epistles addresses interpersonal relations among Christians.
Walid Shoebat is a man of conviction. He gives strong testimony of a changed life. That kind of change is also Biblical. See the Gospel of John, especially Chapter 3.
I have met Mr. Shoebat in person. The light of the Holy Spirit shines from his face. And of that I am personally convinced.
Eileen,
I know who my dad is and YOU are a nutt. Here is why:
No one objects if you disagree with my dad regarding his political or religious view, yet you seem to be hung up on this issue. The real issue is your smear campaign against my dad calling him a fraud. When in your own article you brought witnesses to testify that he was in jail and also was involved in terror. I know who my family is and my father's ties with terrorism in the past.
Now, why can't you accept this fact? Instead you go on a smear frenzy and you keep posting the same rehashed clap-trap.
First, you need to admit that my dad was involved in terrorism instead of calling him a fraud.
After you finish admitting your error I would be glad to deal with your silly theological arguments. This is a matter a kid can do.
Ted,
Islamophiles so despise your father because he is such a convincing speaker. He can argue from the Christian perspective and from the secular perspective. Furthermore, he knows Islam from the inside out.
Thank you "always on watch" for your support.
Ted,
On March 14, my cohost and I will have the privilege of interviewing your father on The Gathering Storm Radio Show.
We'd like to offer you an interview too! My email address is at my web site.
Right now, we are booking for May and beyond.
