Could Turkey Be The Seat Of Turkey
By Theodore Shoebat, author of In Satan's Footsteps.
Revelation 13 tells us that Antichrist kingdom is one that received a deadly wound "And I saw one of his [the beast's] heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast." (Rev. 13:3) This beast is an empire that was destroyed but will revive itself (Revelation 2:12-13) also tells us that Pergamos (in Turkey) is where Satan's seat is. Antichrist will also "confirm the covenant with many for seven years" (Dan. 9: 27.) So from this we know that the Antichrist will confirm a false peace treaty with Israel that will supose to last for seven years then break it after three and a half years. If I am correct, we will be seeing Turkey pushing for peace and trying to revive its old Ottoman glory which was defeated by the British in World War One. Today, history is in the making. Syria's president said that his country and Israel were very close to reaching a peace deal. In an interview that appeared Wednesday in the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, Bashar Assad said that Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert had agreed to withdraw from all of the Golan Heights during indirect peace talks mediated by Turkey. 1
Hillary Clinton, the US Secretary of State, who last week visited Turkey as part of a regional tour to show Washington’s resolve in tackling some of the Middle East’s longstanding crises, told Tayyip Erdogan, the Prime Minister, that mediating talks between Israel and Syria would be a top priority. Ankara has been brokering indirect talks with Israel and Syria for more than a year, and is seen as one of the most neutral diplomatic conduits in the region. 2
What about Turkey trying to heal its wound, bringing back its future glory? A recent article by Marc Gopin titled Turkey's return to glory states that "Turkey is pushing for a strong embrace of Palestinians and very public efforts to negotiate with Hamas on the foundations of a long-term treaty with Israel; and fourth, an ongoing engagement with Syria and Iran as to the conditions of their engagement with Israel and with the Arab world." Not only is Turkey to be mediator, but revive it's glory days as a super power in the region "Turkey needs to bury its ghosts of the 20th century so that the 21st century will see its return to international glory. The time has come for an Ottoman-inspired enlightenment."
