Almost 5,000 new cases of swine flu, or H1N1 virus, have been declared in the US this week. The WHO also declared swine flu to be a full-blown pandemic this week, meaning that it will eventually affect all countries worldwide.
The CDC has confirmed 45 deaths in the US so far from swine flu.
In Colorado, the first case of swine flu was confirmed in Mesa County after a young guest attended a wedding with 200 guests. There were guests at the wedding from Utah who had the virus.
